10-time Grammy Award winner and US RnB sensation John Legend is so smitten with South Africa that he wants to come back after visiting our shores three years ago.
The legend will perform in Johannesburg‚ Durban and Cape Town from November 3 to November 10 as part of a five-show tour as confirmed by Big Concerts on Tuesday. John Legend’s Darkness and Light global tour will be live in Johannesburg on 3 and 4 November 2017 at the Ticketpro Dome.
On 7 November, the tour train will move down to Durban for a one-night show at Moses Mabhida Stadium. The singer will be making a final stop for the SA tour for two shows on 9 and 10 November in Cape Town at the Grand Arena, GrandWest.
East Coast Radio, Channel 24, KFM 94.5 and 947 will present the singer’s South African tour which is another Big Concerts Experience.
While tickets will go on sale on Friday 25 August at 09:00 at Big Concerts and Computicket, Discovery Card holders are getting an exclusive 48-hour pre-sale starting on Wednesday 23 August at 09:00. For the Johannesburg show, tickets range from R515 –R1140.
Tickets for the Cape Town show range from R515 – R1085 while Durban fans will have to pay between R375 – R855 for tickets to watch the award-winning singer perform.
Fans can expect to see Legend perform his new singles live in addition to his smash single All of Me from his much-acclaimed fourth studio album Love in the Future which claimed the top spot on Billboard’s Hot 100 Singles Chart, as well as four formats of radio: Urban AC, Top 40, Rhythm, & Adult Top 40. With sales over 5.5 million worldwide, the single remains the singer’s unrivaled highest selling and charting hit of his career.
John Legend’s latest album Darkness and Light debuted on the top 20 of the Billboard 200 and has been a global smash hit with top 10 singles Love Me Now and Penthouse Floor featuring Chance the Rapper.
In the first week of its release, the album was streamed over 12 million times in the first week.
