It has just been a few weeks since Gigi Lamayne axed the label. Mabalanoise boss Reggie has also left to focus on politics. And now rumours of Nasty C leaving are starting to show some truth in them.
A word has been on the street that the controversial indie record label Mabala Noise is liquidated and are reportedly closing down. After a lot of speculation about the shaky relationships Mabala has had with its talent, the shutting down of operations is quite abrupt. This kind of explains why a lot of their artists such as Riky Rick and Gigi Lamayne have abandoned the company recently. Major League has also had contractual issues with them.
What is even more interesting is that Nasty C was spotted having a meeting with the Universal Music Group South Africa. A picture surfaced of Nasty C in a boardroom with a team of people, the picture was directly captioned ‘Welcome To Universal Music @Nasty_CSA’
As of now nothing has been confirmed by the Universal Music team and Nasty C’s brother who is also his manager could not confirm or deny anything regarding the shutting down of Mabala or Nasty C’s move to Universal when he was contacted. Do you think Nasty C should move to another recording label or should he be independent?
